He moved to Victoria in his teens and quickly became enthralled with the mountains and the river experiences that BC provides. He initially picked up paddling skills canoeing the voyager routes of Northern Saskatchewan, and has since applied them to the rivers of the Rockies and Coast Mountain Range.

With a zest for travel and a passion for the rafting industry, Graham has honed his skills on some of the most challenging rivers around the world. Over the course of his rafting career he has traveled to more than 30 countries and rafted commercially on every continent except for Antarctica.

Wilderness First Aid

Eric was born in Tasmania, Australia.  He grew up in the outdoors and has been working in the guiding industry since he left college. With a background as a multi-day rafting and hiking guide, and having worked on some of the most demanding rivers in the world, Eric has fast become an excellent expedition guide with a personality that entertains and intrigues everyone who meets him.
A workhorse around camp and superbly skilled with a Dutch oven, once you get the hang of his ridiculous Australian accent, he’s sure to share with you tales of adventure from his travels around the world.  We are lucky to have Eric as a key member of our team.

Phil

Guide

Swift Water Rescue Tech

Wilderness First Responder

Phil grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia. After spending years as a star athlete in school, Phil stepped foot in the outdoors and became hooked. He eventually trained to become a raft guide on the Athabasca River in Jasper, Alberta. After two seasons there, he joined the team at Canadian Outback Rafting Company to hone his skills on the Elaho  and Squamish Rivers. Phil has grown to become one of our most experienced senior guides, with excellent First Aid skills developed through years of working as a ski patroller in the winters and most recently training towards his ACMG (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) certification. Being an integral member of the team at Canadian Outback Rafting, he was an obvious choice to guide on the prestigious Canadian Rafting Adventures expeditions.

Phil is an avid and skilled rock climber who has just become an ACMG assistant rock guide. If you don’t see Phil’s broad smile out on the river, you can be sure to see it hanging from a rope on the Stawamus Chief in Squamish, British Columbia. With an impressive singing voice and with a plethora of stories to tell and songs to sing around the campfire, Phil is certain to be among the many memories you will take away with you from the trip.
